The Best Skills for Publishing to WeChat and Xiaohongshu
Chinese social platforms are not "Twitter with a different language". The publishing mechanics, the visual conventions, and the distribution logic are all different — and the skills that handle them are correspondingly specific.
Our directory has eleven skills aimed at Chinese platforms, and they split into two families: the baoyu set, which handles content production and publishing, and the wb-xhs set, which handles account strategy. The split is useful because production and strategy fail in different ways.
Production and publishing
baoyu-xhs-images — 9.4 · Writing
Generates Xiaohongshu (小红书) image-card series: 12 visual styles, 8 layouts, and the text-to-card decomposition that the platform's feed actually rewards. The highest-scoring skill in this group, and the one with the most platform-specific craft — Xiaohongshu is an image-first product, and a generic cover-image skill will not produce cards that fit its conventions.
baoyu-post-to-wechat — 9.3 · Writing
Publishes to WeChat Official Accounts (微信公众号) via the API or Chrome CDP. The CDP fallback matters: the Official Account API is restricted, and driving a logged-in browser is often the only path.
baoyu-wechat-summary — 9.3 · Writing
Summarizes WeChat group chats into structured digests. This is a source skill rather than a publishing one — useful if your content pipeline starts from actual conversation rather than a blank page.
baoyu-post-to-weibo — 9.1 · Writing
Weibo publishing, including text with images and video. Lower score than the WeChat skill only because the surface is simpler.
Account strategy
wb-xhs-account-profile — 9.1 · Developer Tools
Persists an account's positioning and voice so the agent writes consistently across sessions. The least glamorous skill here and possibly the most useful — consistency is what makes a Xiaohongshu account recognizable.
wb-xhs-humanize-compliance — 9.1 · Productivity
Rewrites AI-generated drafts so they read as human and clear the platform's AI-content signals. On Chinese platforms this is not cosmetic: distribution can be throttled for content that reads as machine-generated.
wb-xhs-low-follower-pattern — 9.1 · Writing
Extracts the patterns that small accounts successfully use in a niche. Distinct from studying viral posts by large accounts, whose advantages do not transfer.
wb-xhs-monetization-backsolve — 9.1 · Productivity
Works backward from a revenue goal to the account positioning and content plan that could produce it. Strategy rather than production.
The honest caveat
Platform rules change quickly, and skills that automate publishing can break when a platform changes its API or its anti-automation measures. The CDP-based approach in baoyu-post-to-wechat is more resilient than an API integration, but it is also more fragile in a different way: it depends on a logged-in browser session.
Treat these as tools for drafts and structure first, and automation second. Review what they produce before it goes live.
